Swine Flu (Swine Influenza A (H1N1) Virus)…..

Swine Flu … a nightmare all over.
Swine flu is a respiratory illness of pigs caused by infection with
swine influenza A virus (H1NI) that can occasionally affect humans.

Symptoms of swine flu are similar to those caused by other influenza
viruses. These include fever and chills, coughing, sore throat, and fatigue.
Sometimes nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea can occur.. It is not possible to
distinguish swine flu from “regular” influenza on the basis of
symptoms alone. The symptoms of swine flu can also vary in severity among
affected individuals.

As we all know Swine flu has affected many cities throughout
the North America. People have reason to
panic. However, instead of panicking it’s better to think calmly about the best
way to protect yourself and your loved ones from infection.

Experts have found few ways through which one can protect from
such disease, which are simple & can be easily done at home like; wash your
hands properly by using a good amount of soap and warm water. As well, use
paper towels to turn off the tap so that you don’t recontaminate you hands.
Anti-bacterial soap is recommended.

Use of Mask are advised by the experts although masks are
not 100% effective as virus as often too small to be blocked from entering your
longs.

Although there is no vaccine available for swine (H1N1) flu,
ongoing work by several laboratories is likely to produce a vaccine later this
year.

However the three suspected cases of Swine Flu in India test
negative, but there is always a fear.
If you have any such symptom like: - fever, cough fatigue, soar throat,
vomiting etc, which are very similar to regular influenza…go straight away to
